We’d like to thank everyone for their support and sponsorship of the 2016 Laurel Run! Without your kind contributions none of this would be possible. From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU! For those already thinking about next year’s event it’s already being planned and will take place July 14-15 in 2017. See you then!

Newspaper Sales

Each year since 2007, the Observer has published a special “Laurel Run” edition of the newspaper in early July.  On that day, volunteers fan out across the Northern Chautauqua County area to sell the papers on the streets and in front of local businesses.  The newspaper sales are a great way to raise money for Laurel Run while at the same time spreading the word about the event.

We express our gratitude to the Observer for printing the special edition; the volunteers for waking up early and hitting the streets to sell the papers; and the people who buy a Laurel Run edition.  While most folks who buy a paper know about the sale ahead of time, some people only find out about it that day – they ask what we’re doing, learn that we’re raising money to support people with disabilities and decide to make a contribution.

We also extend our appreciation to the businesses who allow us to sell papers at their locations each year, particularly the Tim Hortons locations in Dunkirk, Fredonia, Gowanda, and Irving, and Brooks Memorial Hospital in Dunkirk.

This year’s Laurel Run newspaper sale is scheduled for Tuesday, June 27.  If you’re interested in helping us sell newspapers that morning (roughly, between 6:00 and 10:00 a.m.) either on the streets or at your business, complete the form below.
