Applebee’s to hold Laurel Run fund-raisers July 11
On Monday, July 11, Chautauqua County residents can support people with special needs just by dining at Applebee’s.
From 11:00 a.m. to midnight, the Applebee’s restaurants in Dunkirk and Lakewood will hold “Dining to Donate” promotions to benefit the 20th annual Laurel Run. The restaurants will donate 10 percent of the cost of your meal. Patrons must present a copy of the voucher below in order for the money to be donated to Laurel Run. If you are unable to print the vouchers, you can also have a voucher faxed or emailed to you by phoning 661-4735.
Please be aware that for the Applebee’s Dining to Donate fund-raiser, you will not receive a discount on the cost of your meal. Rather, 10 percent of what you pay for your meal will be donated to Laurel Run.
Laurel Run was created in 1997 by Wayne and Elaine Hotelling in honor of their oldest daughter, who has Down syndrome. Laurel Run is a celebration of the potential that exists within people who have disabilities. Money raised through Laurel Run goes to Filling the Gap, Inc., which works with The Resource Center and TRC Foundation to improve the lives of individuals with disabilities and their families in Western New York.
The 20th annual Laurel Run takes place July 15 and 16. The first day features a Jamestown-to-Dunkirk relay run, while day two includes a number of walking and running events in the Hotellings’ hometown of Silver Creek. For more information, visit the web site or phone 661-4735.
